Indian railways went a step ahead by announcing that all the railway stations will be 100% LED lit by end of March 2018. This move by Indian railways helps in decrease their energy requirement by 10% in their non-traction usage. This is a whopping 240 million units of energy conservation.
They are also planning to implement the change of all the lights in Railway quarters and Railway coaches with LEDs adding further to the energy conservation.
