This installation is a special case where the customer took the first step towards utilising the roof-top to become completely sustainable through solar. Ms. Sneha, through sheer passion for the environment, could convince her family to go for solar and harness the infinite energy falling on the roof-top.
Prefabricated structures made out of aluminium are used to install the Solar modules with no drilling on the rooftop. Aluminium being a rust free structure allows for a long-lasting life without any structural maintenance.
Going for solar with EcoSoch brought her to composting with Daily Dump. The composting led to the generation of good quality compost which made her restart her plans of terrace gardening. With a fairly large roof-top area capable of harvesting a big volume of water from the rain, the family went for rainwater harvesting as well along with solar rooftop to become more self-dependent on water aspect as well.
This is a great example of using the roof-top to become completely sustainable with small steady steps
