Adarsh Residency Apartments, Jayanagar, Bangalore

Adarsh Residency Apartments is located at Jayanagar,Bangalore overlooking the Bangalore Metro. A rooftop power plant is installed at the apartment for powering up the common area loads.

The system is installed across 2 different blocks of the apartment. The Solar Panels are installed on the Flat RCC roof available on these rooftops. Shadow Free areas were identified by the EcoSoch design team and the same was verified by simulating the site in the SketchUp software.

Higher efficiency mono-crystalline PERC modules of 370Wp from Waaree were used in this project along with SolarEdge Power Optimiser Technology. The SolarEdge topology ensures that our client is able to view the live generation of the system with per panel monitoring. It also helps the operation and maintenance team as the remote monitoring facility provide alerts if the plant is not functioning properly.

Remote Monitoring

The apartment used to pay a bill of Rs.55,000.00 for their common area meters in the 3 blocks of the apartment by consuming ~6500 units from BESCOM. The system is capable of generating ~5500 units per month providing a total savings of ~45,000 per month. The payback period considering the rate of escalation of BESCOM Tariff is just above 5 years.

The entire apartment complex has been maintained green by the association and solar rooftop system helps their apartment become more greener by offsetting almost 52 metric tonnes CO2 emissions per annum with the help of the 50kWp On-Grid Solar System.
